One is a re-interpretation of a previous painting – Marsh sunrise. This one is 11 x 14″, oil on canvas glued to a 3/4 inch smooth surfaced plywood base. A small study done this morning.

A bit of glare on this as it is not yet dry.

Have been working on these images for at least 6 months and layers go on every so often. These had another layer added last night.   Neither is yet completed.  They are self portraits, of interest only to me as I explore these fragmentation schemes.  The young lad is me at age 5.  The old man is me 65 years later.  I’ve been doing paintings like these since 1982 and may begin to post a few of them here.
